The secret isn't trying harder.

Dear Friends,

A common question I get asked is,

Who's a good candidate for coaching?

I believe everyone is a good candidate for coaching. I've had several conversations in just the past month about how I wish this knowledge and these tools and skills were introduced in preschool and were woven into the education of every single human being.

Coaching, at its best, is a modern day, practical philosophy that seeks to support human flourishing, invites individuals to ask and answer the big questions about life, and then challenges and supports them in living in alignment with their own answers.

Coaching is also very broad, so when someone asks that question but really means,

Who is a good candidate for working with you privately or in The Art School?

Then here is a way I would answer that more specifically:

The people I work with are incredibly conscientious, hard-working, intelligent, high-achieving.

They've created many impressive and beautiful things by applying themselves and, when they've needed a breakthrough in the past, they've just buckled down and worked harder.

And then there comes a time when the next vision they have for their life is too big and they've outgrown their "try harder, work harder, just be better somehow" strategy.

The frequency of what they want to create next lives beyond the realm of "how can I just try harder?"

So then what?

Answering that question and supporting them in living it is the work I do with my clients.

The Art School and private coaching is for the woman who has spent her life being brilliant, capable, having it all together.

The one who knows how to think, analyze, lead, achieve, solve, carry, and hold the whole damn sky together with her capable hands.

And still, somewhere inside her, there is another knowing.

A wilder one.

A deeper one.

The part of her that speaks in color, symbol, dream, instinct, timing, body, beauty, desire.

The part of her that cannot be spreadsheeted into existence.

When someone is working with me, I never ask her to leave her mind behind.

I ask her to bring it with her — and then challenge the constraining borders life, conditioning, your prior beliefs have drawn around you in order to go farther.

Farther into her creativity.
Into her intuition.
Into her imagination.
Into her wise and wild natural genius.

This is not a rejection of intellect.

It is the return of the whole self.

This is true empowerment.

To be able to create from all parts of you, not fragments.

To discover rooms and gifts and strengths within you you'd otherwise never know existed.

If you are ready to go farther into the life, work, art, and self that are calling you, I would love to have you join us in The Art School or apply to work with me privately.

It's not too late to join us for this cohort of The Art School! Our second class begins today and the program is designed so you can join at any time and receive the full benefit of the coaching and lessons.
